Durham Parks Foundation is seeking partners to complete the second phase of its project to increase access to Environmental Education in the City of Durham. The Environmental Education Pavilion was designed and built but NC State University Architecture students registered for the Summer Design Studio program. Phase I of the project is now complete! Phase II of this project will bring electricity and water to this facility and will replace the mowed field surrounding the facility with a prairie of native grasses and flowers. The native prairie will attract wildlife and serve as a deterrent to stormwater runoff.
All members and partners are memorialized on the inside of the wildlife blind (right side of the building).
